Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon is currently my favourite manga (I don't read a lot of manga though).
It is a D&D style fantasy story about a group of adventurers who explore this multi-level dungeon, and after a bad encounter, they lose one of their party and have to save them. They don't have enough money for supplies and have to learn how to cook and eat the monsters of the dungeon. It's one part fantasy adventure, one part cooking story. It's great. Check out the book trailer. Also the anime for it is coming out at the start of next year and I'm super hyped.

Dungeon Meshi is incredible, I read the whole thing in just a couple days a while ago! I love the art style, and Laios is one of my favorite protagonists in anything. It’s common for a character like him to get sidelined or treated as a joke, or worse, infantilized, but Dungeon Meshi doesn’t do that to him even though it is largely a comedy (of course there’s jokes about him sometimes due to the tone of the manga, but not more than the other characters, and he has tons of emotional depth and agency). The scene where he and Shuro fight is really heartbreaking for me. I’ve been worried I could be annoying my friends with how aggressively I’ve been recommending it.
I don’t usually get into manga while it’s still being made, though, so having to wait for new chapters has been rough That said, I have no idea how it is possible for Ryoko Kui to draw and write the manga so fast. I think that’s fairly standard in the industry, but I’d die. It’s so detailed.
When it comes to the anime, I’m cautiously optimistic. It looks pretty good from the promo aside from the art style losing a little of its distinctiveness, but you just never know with adaptations until they come out. I’m looking forward to more people watching the anime than would read the manga, though.
If they either take away Senshi’s panty shots or try to add panty shots of any other characters, we should march on the studio with pitchforks
