| I speak Dutch and English. Also had a fair bit of German in school, but since I don't use it I've forgotten a lot. | |

I've tried to learn Dutch and German, but they're so similar I kept forgetting what words went where!

| i speak english, croatian, italian (tho i'm not that fluent, but i can keep a convo). studied italian for 8 years in school, but the teachers were so shitty i didnt learn that much. and of course, the classes were based on grammar and some vocab. what's interesting about italian is that the dalmatian dialect (croatian dialect in dalmatia, the region which i'm from) is that we share a lot of similiar words. for example ponistra = la finestra = the window, fumati = fumare = to smoke, banj = il bagno = the bathroom etc, so it's quite easy to learn the vocab.
i've been told my english accent actually sounds italian instead of croatian. T_T
i'm also trying to learn french. it's easy if you already speak italian/spanish (aside from death-inducing pronounciation), tho i've fallen off track recently. but lots of artists and animators emigrate to france to seek jobs, so it's good to learn it. i also have plenty of comics in french which i want to read.
i also want to learn japanese!

| we speak persian (or farsi, however you wanna call it)and english :3 can understand a bit of arabic though very hardly... have tried learning german but we dropped it T_T need to get back to it. and been also trying to learn japanese! if we could we would wanna learn literally every language ever but ik its not that possible (or is it...) we are hoping to study linguistics later in university or college this year! that is if we get accepted...... couldnt do it last year so if it dont happen this year i might just lose it................. fun fact about farsi! because of our history farsi got mixed with arabic a lot and its been like that for a long time. and we also have a lot of loan words from french for some reason. (i mean i kinda can guess the reason but im not too sure ) because of their mixture i think its kinda easier for us to learn arabic. its such an interesting language and wed love to learn it again (without propaganda being shoved down our throat alongside it ) the rules on how the language works and the way we learned it somewhat made it easier to apply similar rules to other languages as well! i think thats pretty cool | |

| i speak norwegian, which is my native tongue since i was born and raised here, but i also speak serbian which my mother has taught me (i can even read and write both scripts i am So happy about that), and while it's not as good as my norwegian it's pretty close! i write my diary in serbian 2 keep it going :3 aside from those which i consider my native- and mother tongue, i speak english which i had in school for eleven years and i speak french which i had for five. while the english is close 2 as good as it gets my french could do a little working on T-T (i am working on it just . very slowly) i'm learning korean on my own and i can hold a very basic conversation i think ? it's been a whole three years but i've kind of neglected listening and speaking so i'm taking the consequences now... but i'll get there !!!! - itsacoffin wrote:

| i assume serbian has more turkish than french words tho; at least its so with croatian and our languages are like twins. for example "krhotina" (a shard) sounds like a gorgeous croatian word but it's actually turkish. | |

| I speak English and used to know ASL (American Sign Language- NOT just 'signed English,' it's its own language and British and American sign language are not the same language). I've gotten rusty with it; need to practice more. | |
