What should a good gig have? Empty

I remember when live music was starting to come back after the tiers were lifted for Covid in the UK and I went to the first live music I had been to in a while. It was a weekender, a lot of bands I liked, and the last band got up on stage, bringing with them a hammer and a mannequin.

After their gig, they held up the mannequin and, with some rage, they beat it to 'death' with their hammer. lihkg-pixel

After that, they chanted "THIS IS THE RETURN TO LIVE MUSIC!" Over and over until the crowd clapped and they left the stage.

That is one of the most memorable things I remember from the gig and has become the basis of something I believe about gigs; a gig should have, at least, some theatrics that make seeing the band in person an experience in of itself.
